You Say Goodbye and I Say Hello

A travel blog entry by slonge on Feb 01, 2015

Last week, as it was my last week in Rochefort working at Pierre Loti Collège, some kids, mostly the younger ones showed that they were sad to see me go. I could tell that they really have enjoyed my weekly visits in their class. There were two classes specifically that did something nice for me. They were both the sixièmes, so they are 11&12 years old. In one class, some students gave me candy and somebody started a little going away card that all the ...

August….of course Lydia and their son will be flying back to France. How ...

I’m going to take a guess and say that it’d be about 21 or 22000 people by now.
Anyways, that’s a pretty small town to have the most important bottle factory
in…by the way, this factory produces more than 2 million bottles a day. A DAY!
Wowzers. Dana and I ...

Feeling Blessed

... to work with them for the whole year. I am lucky though that I get to keep living in Rochefort so I am able to still see them from time to time.

Caroline and Pauline said that the next dinner we have, we’ll have to have Raclette at Pauline’s place. It’s so nice to be included in people’s lives here. It definitely makes me feel better about being away from home for a few more months. Also, with Lydia and her family and Caroline, I ...
