... or a combination of the three. Anyway I thought I would pace myself in order to last the 53 km. The last 10 kms were up and down hills though Geoff said he didn't classify them as hills, I certainly did. However I managed to keep going albeit in the lowest gear. Even coming into town passed the chateau was up a hill so I was pretty tired when we finally got to our hotel, Hotel Les Voyageurs set right in the centre of town. It's a ...

... and one crepe (sweet) and swapped half way. For our savoury we chose a ratatouille, cheese, jambon, and egg and an apple, cream, ice-cream and caramel for the sweet. Both were very nice and satisfying and did the trick in setting to feeling normal.

Rennes has an old town centre which is worth seeing, but it is a 20 minute walk from the station so we didn't want to rush that. Our transiting with trains is going well, clicking back into our last ...

... we were the first ones to occupy. Very spacious - 2 large rooms, one full bathroom and a separate toilet and hand basin. Despite the spaciousness, don't think we would return because the area is a little seedy. No internet at the hotel so we were told to go next door to the Ibis. Whilst communicating with our cycling friends in Lyon Joy and Pete, with ...
