    ... seemed to be heading out of town without having seen a sign for the chateau. We pulled into the side of the road by a large lake, and consulted the map. We'd come into the town from the west and turned south, and most of the town seemed to be behind us to the north, so we decided to do a u-turn and drive back through town to look for a sign. Around we turn and there, directly in front of us on a hill stood the chateau!

    ... we've had in Brittany and then proceeded to walk to the old town. The guide books had led us to believe that there were very few half timbered houses left following the major fire of 1720 but were we very pleasantly surprised at what we saw whilst wandering around.

    We are on the TGV from Paris to Rennes, the capital of Bretagne. We are in car 10, which is the power car at the end of the train, so sometimes there's a bit of a hum. But the seats are high backed, fabric covered and comfortable, with tray table and cup holder. Everybody sits quietly reading, listening to iPods or using their computers, no children, no mobile phone conversations.     Really lovely day,, mainly overcast but sunny for the last couple of hours.

    OK dont panic I have found some electric in the bar Cafe Babylone a very nice place indeed right next to what looks like a cathedral I was in such a rush for the loo Im not sure.
