... although I only saw the outside, looks over the top and magnificent. Covered in gold and fabulously decorated. I would love to get a chance to see inside but this was not the time. As I have said repetitively, we can’t see and do it all.
We made our way into Paris after that. We were only expected at my Aunt and Uncles house the next day so we went to Bois de Boulogne camping for the evening. With exhausted feet, we crawled into the back of the van and went to sleep.
... that makes you retain weight. i have been here less then a month and my clothes don't fit as well. so if you are looking for a fast track weight loss plan, move to france or just start walking more and eat organic food. trust me- its worth it to not eat preservatives and hormones. i thought it was silly once too, but there is actually a benefit in it.
4. u of i's campus- don't get me wrong, i miss everyone there. but to walk by actual old buildings everyday (were talking 400+) and ...

Here are some very strange fish that would just swim in circles with their mouths open hoping you would feed them:
Now we are back at the palace for some last shots:
Here's a quick video showing the palace and the "back yard":

My second trip to Versailles was extremely enjoyable. I was able to spend the day visiting one of the most beautiful places on earth while getting to know 3 really cool girls who are very nice and looking forward to experiencing everything this opportunity of studying abroad has to offer. I am definitely looking forward to future excursions with them and with our class. Learning a lot already over here and cant wait to just soak it all in.
... ending to my time abroad.
Waving at the Eiffel Tower as I entered Paris, I drove to the airport to drop off my rental car and then take a shuttle to my hotel. After dining on a $22 cheeseburger in my room (speaking to the cost of living in Paris: for about the same price in Buenos Aires I had enjoyed a full ribeye steak, side dishes and ½ a bottle of great wine!), I called it a night and slept very deep and well, as I had done nearly every night along this journey.
... most of the way home (or at least our home in London) we arrived a little after 11,and so we made our way back down to the hostel where we were all out cold for the night. All I have to say is that the first time I went to Paris I hated it, the second time it grew on me, but this trip made it one of my favorite places. Maybe it was more my mindset and the company, or just that it needed a little time to grow on me.
Paris, France rainydaygirl13... finished the inside we decided to take the tour of the tours but after we found that the line would be 2 hours we moved on quickly to the touristy shops along the river (where we added to our current scarf collection and got our souveniers for Paris) and eventually made our way home... This is where we are now....the Hotel Wilson....so perfect... Ca is upstairs packing (as I have already done so) and soon we will head out to the cafe around the corner ...
Paris, France bploh... We walked to Strasbourg Metro station where we bought our 2-day pass and proceeded to make our way to Trocadero. From the map, we could tell that Trocadero was close to the Tower, but not exactly how close. We exited the station, walked about 50 feet and, as we turned the corner of a large building, we gasped. Just around the bend, emerging from a misty morning sky, was one of the most stunning structures I've ever laid my eyes on. The river Seine ...
Paris, France jen86... where Lyn's grandfather had landed. We were excited and looked forward to the following day. Up at 6am for a day trip to Cherbourg. Once we reached our destination, we realized we had received some bad information from Eurorail. Although this was a key point and on June 25th, 1944 the Germans had a stronghold, it was nowhere near the D-Day battlefields. We made the best of it and hiked up to a mideval fort with amazing ...
Paris, France rbartorillo... to look a whole lot nicer. It was nice and symmetrical and it had nice gardens underneath. When you viewed it from the top of the palace, which was right next to it, you could see the Trocadero down the other end of the strip. To be honest, I don't know what the Trocadero actually is and it would be nice if someone could email me and let me know! I'm guessing that it is some sort of government building. On the way to the Tower, we were walking down one of these ...
