En arrivant à l'aéroport, nous ne savons toujours pas si nous atterrissons à Paris ou à Marseille ... Finalement, ce sera Paris : une très bonne nouvelle pour nous, moins bonne pour les Marseillais ...

... coaster (minus Oliver and I). It was time for lunch where Mickey Mouse shaped pizza was the order of the day together with the vegemite baguettes we had packed in our knapsacks! Off to Walt Disney Studios where we watched a fantastic movie on the magic of animation and how its done - this intrigued Oliver as he wants to invent computer games when he grows up. The Stitch live show was absolutely fantastic - it is a new show where stitch actually interacts with the audience - very ...

Roissy, Île-de-France, France virgile... scenario. How fantastic is this?! As we moved through (pushed through) with the crowd we took photos where ever possible. Some of the many hundreds will be attached.. I would like to make special mention of one particular gentleman (used loosely) from a tour group perhaps originally from somewhere close to where a major sporting event is about to happen very very shortly, who, in all his eagreness to record each and every step through the palais that he ...
Paris, France adamhills... the actual parade. Once it did start, though, the parade was pretty cool. Very different from any parade I've ever been to. Basically it was a long march of all the military troops including tanks! There was also a really cool air force flyover and of course I got to see Mr. President Sarkozy drive by. I then went home to recover and do homework. But later on that night I took a walk to one of the bridges near my appartement to watch the fireworks by the ...
Paris, France k_in_france... minutes later we got off the bus I don't think Lesley's heart rate had quite returned to normal both from the shock of what was actually going to happen and that glee that her dad wasn't going to dress up as Ronald! Chuong and I had made an attempt at our first stop in Paris to climb the Effiel tower but got there too late, up we went in the lift and into the Restaurant for dinner, the food was great but the view outstanding. After eating taking some pics and Lesley running a ...
Paris, Île-de-France, France loonibin... the rest my imagination had to be sufficient. I have enough pics for a solo Versailles album on fb. The Louvre is free for students on Friday after 6 PM so that was pretty cool. Even better was that the guards didn't care of we snapped photos of anything. That is different from what I remember. I don't know what was up, because there are signs posted everywhere no photos. Whatevskies. Saw the Mona Lisa ...

Paris, France bwongstar... place where Napoleon is buried. Then we stopped at the parkland in front of the Eiffel Tower. Louis (Lewi) our tour manager gave us a surprise because while we were walking throught the park towards the tower it suddenly came alive with all these flashing lights. It was very beautiful. Next we went to drive past the Arc de Triumphe. We actually drove around that crazy roundabout. Louis played some battle ...
Paris, France laura-jean... time. We toured the Taittengers cellar and learned all about the multi-step process of making champagne. Their cellar was really amazing, housing over 300,000 bottles while preserving the traditional fermentation process. We tasted a glass at the end of the tour which was the worst! So we decided to go back to Veuve to buy a bottle of champagne for my birthday tomorrow!!
Reims, France akili... the Da Vinci code, but it was better than I was lead to believe as was the book!), the Venus de Milo which is actually not Venus, but Aphrodite, a lot of other nice Greek statues, and Roman copies, and the Napoloeon painting described previously. Again, the building was something to behold. It was originally a palace for the French kings until Louis XIV built Versailles........ Which I also saw and was much better than I expected. I was thinking it ...
