... everything just flashed by! Still lovely though.

Made all our connections, with an hour break in Tours, so we went out for a short walk. From what we did see, the best place was the railway station, which was very ornate.

Back to Bayeux and making dinner, even though I wondered if I had forgotten how to cook (steak, vegetables and salad!) then off to bed!

... museum which was in an old chapel (I think). It was very interesting - in the first roo. There was a video about the reproduction process of a trumpet found in a local dig site. Although it was in French I was able to understand it - plus the reproducer switched between English in general conversation and French for explanation. I downed ...

... lunch we visited the museum of etangs and, whilst we had a very enthusiastic guide who took the group to the lake and back inside explained all the wildlife and history, it was all in fast-spoken French so hard to catch even the odd word or phrase and we subtly slipped sway from the tour after 40 mins or so.
A final swim in the pool and re-match of volleyball (joined by a rust-coloured toad who fancied a dip) before packing and eating up the fridge again!

We drove up north to an Ecoparc which we finally found, despite poor signage and it was worth the hunt! Forest and open countryside led to a hide/lookout over a large Etang (one of many in the area - man-made lakes teaming with fish and bird life). As you drive along the roads, you see etangs on ...
