Living the Mandala

... over, but mostly the UK. All walks of life with different professions, dreams and lifestyles. But they all shared the same thing: they all knew how important it was to go on holiday, to take time to restore and have fun. They all seemed like they were trying to find ways to work less so they could play more. Meeting so many different people reminded me of the Mandala again--at our core, we ...

How sweet it is...

... Surf Maroc, a surf center on the coast in a small fishing village called Taghazout.  They offer yoga and surf retreats, as well as daily yoga classes.  I led my first 8 day retreat here mid-May and it was wonderful:  14 beautiful souls I was able to share yoga with.  And the setting was breathtaking, a yoga sala that was perched right above the sea.

Not only do I get to practice and teach yoga here, but I'm ...

So much fun in Morroco's Hotel Sofitel Agadir

... The views are amazing and breathtaking. Photo worthy shots of the hotel's magnificent garden, the ocean, and the extravagant pool that guests enjoy during their stay at Sofitel Agadir are right outside your window. This Moroccan slice of heaven is just far enough away to enjoy a peaceful stay and only the sounds of the ocean waves crashing will fall upon your ears. Walk along the ...

Sixth Day - Free day

... we went to the ocean to have some sun, because we still had no signs of visiting sunny warm country=) We all made some temporary tatoos, that's why we spent more than 6 hours under the sun without cremes or umbrellas =D That was my mistake, but nice to know that after all despite my obviously red skin, I would have a tan=) The whole body was burning, but I knew that's my only day to lie under the sun so i kinda liked ...

Fourth Day - watching more hotels

... be returned to you by the end of staying here). Unfortunately, it's not green=( But the hotel itself is cool.

Caribbean Village Agador 3* - The space is Veeeery big because it shares its territory with another hotel, so you have a lot of things to do and places to go=) Lots of pools, facilities etc. Great!

Atlantic Palace 5* - Luxury, The richest hotel of all. His owner is a King's cousin. It's very impressive! Awesome Territory ...

Second day - watching the hotels

... amp; Spa 5*. Well, it's very rich, very pretentious... Red wood is everywhere around you... And that is what annoyed me the most... You feel yourself like in museum! Very depressing corridors, dim light, and wooden doors... All that is pressing on you... The rooms are rich, but also very simple and have no soul... Well, if you search for a prestige - it's your kind of hotel.
Next was Amadil Beach Agadir 4*. Well, i liked it much. It's a four ...

Going South again

... village with not much more than a few dogs roaming the streets. This whole trip already sounded more like an odyssey than anything else, until my luck changed for the better and a guy pulled out his car and drove me back to the doorstep of my hotel, this time the right one, and he didn't even want any money. How sweet! So I had a plate of Couscous and dropped into bed, happy but quite exhausted.

Swell timing

... some blackjack, it ended up being a pretty hilarious night. Over the next week we got up around 6 each morning, starting with a few streches, our ritual consumption of a mars bar and a choc milk and then jumped on a bus to a surrounding beach. We scored some fun little surfs at Boilers, surfed Killers on a number of occasions with surf ranging from pumping to disappointing and were lucky enough to get ...

beach day at Agadir and onto Essaouira

After a monty sleep in Jo and I were the first ones at brekky. we enjoyed some really nice french baguette bread and the usual jam and fresh orange juice.before meeting downstairs at 8.30am. Our first stop before leaving town was the tanneries and these ones really stank! They are positioned outside the walls due to this fact and they weren't as nice looking as the ones in Fes - these were as local as they get. You could ...

Day 6 : Essaouira - Agadir

This morning was slow, and we appreciated to rest for a while. Before leaving Essaouira, we went to change water in the tank and untighten the wheel bearings. The road to Agadir goes through the Aha region, and is hence slow and tiring, though beautiful. We reached Agadir at the end of the day. I didn't like this town at all (as Moubarak had predicted in Essaouira). Looking for a camping, we first found one at the entrance of Agadir, but it didn't ...
