... still went by it about 4 times through the course of the visit. Overall, the Louvre was incredible and you could spend mulitple days to soak it all in.
We then went walking around Notre Dame and the Siene river. Paris is crazy in the afternoon. People everywhere. We had lunch overlooking the river with a beer and Crepe for me. (imagine me wanting to look at water for lunch) It was so good, I could eat the French Crepe almost everyday. We tested our ...

Paris, Île-de-France, France varpinsboys... I took the metro over to the Marais and had one last My Berry frozen yogurt. Finally, I spent the rest of the evening in Shakespeares bookstore reading. All in all a pretty good and relaxing way to say goodbye. Tomorrow is a long, long day of travel and I am hoping I can get through it with no problems. We'll see. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
Paris, Île-de-France, France k_in_france... We had a very early train to Strasbourg so it was up and out without even a goodbye to the courtyard cats. We took a TGV (fast train) and had a comfy and quick ride. Which leads us to Strasbourg and Cynthia's turn to type. Overall Paris was a great time (despite throwing my back out which is much better now, thanks for the emails). We both feel like we barely scratched the surface and need to go back and give Paris more time on another trip. But for a starter, it was great! J
Paris, France bachcj... the pots and dishes were used 2 or 3 days ago!), no lock out time, free computer and internet access, breakfast included (elsewhere we paid - or would have paid, but chose not to - from 4€75 to 15€ for that breakfast), and clean towels. Hostelling is a great and cheap way to travel and you meet a lot of people - they usually are not in my age bracket though! - not too many nearly 50-year olds ...

Paris, France scjaime... direction of Les Callenques. It was a beautiful views and we could see all the way to the island holding Chateau d'if, the 16th century fortress-turned-prison made infamous by Alexandre Dumas classic novel Le Comte de Monte Cristo (The Count of Monte Cristo). Catching our coastal bus back into Marsielle we checked our bags into the lockers at the station and then made our way to a Ryan Air suggested place called Savonnerie- a soap factory giving ...
Marsielle, France mimmy21... as a group and headed to the hotel for a relaxing night. Day 14...When in Rome, do as the Romans do... Another full day to do as we wished. I decided to stay with most of the group and go see the Vatican and St. Peter's first. Long line in the hot sun, but Pete was awesome and got us Vatican pizza while we waited. After about an hour and a half we went inside the Vatican and saw the Sistine Chapel. The paintings in there are truly amazing. A few of us then snuck in with a tour ...
London, Paris, Switzerland, Austria, Venice, Florence, Rome, Italy kbroder86... dinner, this time because too many people ordered the vegetarian meal. All the Indian media recently has focused on a huge, previously unknown outbreak of avian flu, so I think many passengers were spooked into ordering vegetarian. I requested Indian breakfast specifically, before the flight attendants starting serving people, and they guaranteed I would receive my selection. My only visit to Paris was seven years ago ...
