... ill but it was cheap and filled us up.

We went to a place called Montys bar where they had a live act on we thought it was going to be really cheesy but it turned out to be ok. Steve the man who was playing was really good and played lots of old classics man rock songs so Ian liked it and I enjoyed it to. We then stagered back to our room around midnight a little drunk again. Looks like we are fitting right in with this holiday.
Torremolinos, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands traceybelle... drive along the coast through Marbella and we even saw the rock of Gibralter as well. As we where travelling though you could not help but notice the strips of english bars and restaurants and we laughed about what we have got coming up.

We got the the centre of Torrimolinos and got a taxi to our hotel. Its ok the hotel is clean and we have a large kitchen and balcony not overlooking the pool but its ok ...
Torremolinos, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands traceybelle... terry and i fleweasy jet to malaga which is one of europes many budget airlines; we were within a couple kilos of our allowed baggage weight allotment so we arrived with our funds intact. the weather has been wonderful here except for one morning when we woke up to gale force winds but they soon died down by the afternoon. our friend carla arrived on wednesday after her long trek from san francisco to malaga via d.c., munich and rome. we've taken nice little walks along ...
Málaga, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands cruiseone2003We were so enjoying our time in Costa del Sol, nothing but beaches, pool time, and british families. Costa del Sol is pretty much the Florida of Europe, only the water´s not as warm. And the definition of a 4 star resort is a bit different in Spain than in the US... When we first arrived, they tried to put us in an apartment with 2 twin beds! Finally playing the ¨honeymoon¨ card played off, and we ended up with a spectacular room (see pics for the view). But after 4 days of lying ...
Benalmadena, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands tommcatt... To eat lunch before 2 pm is very unusual. To eat dinner before 9 pm is also odd. Today is Sunday and it seems like everything is closed as well. I wanted to buy another pillow today but I don´t think I´ll be able too. To the beach then! The temperature has been in the 80s and 90s the past few days which is abnormally high for this time of year but I´ll take it! Goodbye Minnesota and Wisconsin winters!
So, things in Málaga are good. Things in Álora ...
Málaga, Andalusia, Spain juliannamargareAfter breakfast and nice stroll on the beach, we head out to see the next city in the list which was Malaga. Malaga is very big compare to its size on the map :)
The trick is to head out to the old part of town to see the actions. Lots of architectures are dated back few years.
Cathedral as like the other places, is a must see in the old city. Small cobble stone alleys make it very nice and easy for walk.
The best ...
Malaga, Andalusia, Spain canadiansmiley... because I am in a room with people talking of which some want to use the internet as well. So, I went to my new flamenco teacher, and obviously was late, since there were obras everywhere and the bus was standing still more than driving. The class was estupendo. I didn´t understand anything about what he was saying because he spoke in Malageño, really fast and with a heavy accent, no matter my asking for a language I could understand, so I just followed what he was doing, which ...
Málaga, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands maysun... has few equivalents in America, probably only a couple spots in Southern California like Laguna Beach and Santa Barbara that are populated by similar well-heeled "beautiful people". We drove the length of the Costa del Sol from Motril to Algeciras, the town where we spent the night at a fairly nice nearby campground that had a pleasant bar for a few after-dinner drinks. It would be another pre-dawn start to catch an early ferry across the Strait of Gibraltar.
Malaga, Spain modernnomad67... and our table was located right along the windows and while we were eating there were a number of dolphins swimming along the ship. The interesting thing about this was that the sun was setting and the reflection of the sun on their eyes made it appear that their eyes were on fire. They were kind of floating at the surface of the water due to the calm sea conditions and it was just an amazing sight. We could not have asked for a better evening ...
