    ... seen before, or an apple tart glistening in the window.
    And then the supermarkets and local farmers markets laden with local wines, hams, pears, peaches, nectarines and melons.
    Picnics in our cosy apartment have been the order of each day - sampling the local treats.
    meals in cafés and restaurants have just been the icing on the cake!

    Would we come back to Lyon? - definitely.

    Such a lovely morning that we delay setting off and have a potter around Besancon. It is a really charming town and we will definitely come back again.     ... nylons, pointed spike heels( shimmery gold) and a large purse on her shoulder. She was my age. NOW you get the picture. I was worried about her many times on our walks through these 13th century villages because they were hilly and cobbled with bear paw sized rocks. I had big flat shoes on and had to concentrate on not falling. Poor Tamara minced her way up and down on I'm sure painful feet but she never said a complaint. Good for her! ...
