          ... acorns were everywhere.

It was all getting a bit eerie, it reminded me of the films Wrong Turn and Deliverance.

We eventually made it to the fuel, thank God. Reset the satnav only for it to tell me to go back the way we’d come – noooooo!. I double checked it on the maps on my phone. Yep, we had to go back. This village sat on a northerly route and our route was north east. The ...

We decided last night that we would have another day with the Quentels. So after a fitful night's sleep and a morning's heavy blogging, Annie came and picked us up at 1pm.
When we arrived at their house Will wanted to see the river at the bottom of the garden. 'No problem, why not?' says I. I haven't been down to the bottom of their garden for 30 odd years and admittedly the ...

Anyway. We arrive at Kerfany at 4pm. As usualthey are delighted to see us. Annie's not there, she's doing some painting or something. The last time they saw Will he was 6 or thereabouts. Isn't he handsome etc etc. Just like his father was. WAS? thanks Isobel.
They've got a friend round who's been catching some prawns for them. His name is Jean-Bernard !! Really? Yet another Bernard!! When will it all end?

... up. Hmm perhaps I misheard him, thought he said chicken but this is red like Ceasers small dog food. Anyway, try it, not bad. take a photo (a la Meynell), wash it down with some cider.
Out comes beef tongue with salad and mashed potato, covered in tomato and vegetable sauce - quite tasty. it looks like slices of beef and is very soft, perhaps it's not the animal's tongue after all.
WRONG! scrape away the sauce and you can see all ...
