Back at hotel base we looked for a place for dinner in the area, nut it was Sunday, and mostly anything other than a bar was closed. We had to settle for a warmed slice of quiche and a beer at a bar in Pont Aven. No plate or cutlery, just the quiche on a piece of aluminum foil!
So if you are planning to travel to small towns in France (and perhaps Europe) most restaurants will be closed on Sunday and Monday.
