Welcome to my travelling blog. If anyone is at all interested this can be a quick and easy way to update lots of different people all at once so enjoy if you fancy some bedtime reading! So I've had my last weekend at home. It's been emotional of course ;) and I'm starting to really realise the big trip is fast approaching. About time! I've had my first practise pack...it was beneficial I promise...and I'm considering doing another JUST to check ...

... stately mansion in the background. The building itself is impressibbe with what must be 5 metre ceilings and huge rooms that were used as dining and drawing rooms etc.They had a deer farm there as well which went well with the snow! A drive home in the dark at 4.30pm and back in the house for dinner. A pretty simple and low key day and another glimpse of the English countryside and some really old ...

... dinner later that evening and headed back to the lodge, but first we had to find somewhere to eat! There were 3 pubs in Greetham however the one we wanted to eat at was booked out. We hightailed it back to the lodge to work out dinner arrangements and Piglet and Rob had arrived.After much snorting and squealing between Beaver and Piglet , we got inside to find that our travelling companion, wee Austrian Beaver had been fashioned a lovely high vis outfit by Mummy Moll ...

... Elizabethan house. Well worth the drive and despite the cold a great walk around a property that was designed as pure Elizabethan bling.


Having to stay somewhere we washed up at the Regency Hotel in Leicester. 2 enormous Victorian houses joined together. Has been a convent and our room has 2 stained glass windows.


And we've only been in England a week.
