The Drive Continues!

A travel blog entry by parkdel

We left Interlaken wishing that we had more time to spend there, but looking forward to our next destination – Lausanne.

Again, we enjoyed a stunningly scenic drive through the Swiss countryside before arriving at our destination with low, grey clouds and light snow falling. As we only arrived mid afternoon, and the weather was …

A Few Notes on Hotel Ibis

A travel blog entry by thepinksuitcase

Hotel Ibis is worse than the West's stereotypes of gypsies and their cloak and daggers that dangle.

It's the end of day 4 in Switzerland. I slipped across the border without fanfare at 09.25 on Monday morning. No choir of yodellers; not even a ...

Day 53: Geneva

A travel blog entry by jimboandsusan

... We understood the English video a little better than the French one... We also went for a short stroll through the city, checking out sites such as the fountain, flower clock and bridges. We were relieved to finally have some rest after all that riding in the rain. One thing that is confusing me is that the Rhone is filling Lac Leman full of dark grey coloured water, yet the water in Geneva is crystal clear. There are lots of ...
