The trams are great: clean, cheap, and all electric. The city of Geneva (from what I could see) was really clean too, with recycling bins everywhere there's a rubbish bin. The water here even tastes like New Zealand water! The hotel is really nice too, with big modern rooms. Definitely nice to have some space after ...

We watched the girls play in the park, avoided ice cream - it was only 9 in the morning- and precisely 8 minutes later, the woman I so graciously gave directions to, came up to me and kindly informed me that if we were still going to the museum, we'd need to go the opposite direction.
Hmm…I was starting to wonder if I needed a technology class….....

... Angela wowed us with fresh pizza. Mmmmm…felt like we were in a 5 star restaurant. Now that we knew where to get wine, we were on "sommelier duty" and she was the chef du jour! Once again she had us entranced with her European adventure stories, and had me making a mental note about all the Italian villages that we absolutely needed to visit.

Ahhh…I love "restaurant" nights!

Lausanne is beautiful! It is so nice to get away from the bustling big cities to a much quieter and peaceful place. Fewer people smoke here. On Easter Sunday we went to the English speaking church in Lausanne, or as the locals call it, "the English church". We felt very welcome and it made us both miss St Margaret's but at the same time we felt very privileged to be a part of a church half way around the world.

... in and near Bamberg! We had brought some vegan pot noodles with us from Karlsruhe so we could save a little money, so we just grabbed some other snacks, veggies and the like to supplement our noodles for dinner. After dinner before it became dark we decided to make a trial run to the uni, which turned out to be only 10 minutes away on the very efficient tram system. Also handy was that the building I needed was the first one straight out of the tram! ...
