... and very very shallow even towards HW. At one stage we had under a metre under the keel and we did run aground not far from the lock where we were trying to go alongside the wall.
After settling in we wandered into the town. The market was just closing but we still managed a little provisioning. We wandered around the streets and enjoyed the architecture and the atmosphere, quite lively. It's mostly a student town with quite a number of bars and creperies.
... here is only buy stuff where prices are shown so you can work out if going to the supermarket is better value).
The street leading up to the town centre is impressive with it's old buildings.
The cathedral with its cloister was interesting as it was built in stages over the years therefore displaying different architectural styles. It also houses the body of St Yves, the patron saint ...
We enjoyed a great sail from Jersey to Lesardrieu in Brittany. Along the way we saw some dolphins (which we didn't expect to see).
We generally have the VHF on scan so we heard one boat letting the port authoriites know of their passage plan to which they got the reply of "thank-you for your confession" in a thick French accent, and we overheard two gentlemen discuss the ingredients ...

We have 3 more full days here before we leave & drive to Mont St Michel whilst en route to our next work place in Dordogne. Not too sure what's in store for us there but I'm sure it'll be great. All we do know is that we have an amazing looking apartment with pool. Good enough for us!! ...
