... br> We flew back to Bordeaux in the morning. After resting for a day we headed north in the morning. We found a little town with a castle and a few different things to see. We walked into town and found a tourist office. They could speak very little English, told us they had no maps and gave us an information sheet all in French. The town was small and quaint. None of the motorhomes have stirred yet though, all the blinds are still closed. I realise that as the town wakes up it is getting noisier, I can hear sirens, ...

      A long drive

... continue, perhaps it is just the wind and the rain. We arrive in La Rochelle and find the Aire around 6pm, it is a large car park beside a park and supposedly on the edge of town, we’ll see about that tomorrow. There are allocated places for 25 motorhomes and they are all taken by the time we get there. I hang about a while to see if anybody is going to move and just miss one as it is taken by someone else who had also been waiting, but was closer than I. Wondering ...
