... of Toulon. Very typical for towns on the French Riviera, the promenade stretches the length of the harbor and has restaurants and shops lining it. ... for about 30 minutes and then another 40 on the bus ride. Turns out they were from Boston, the gentleman had just retired and so they were touring around France for 3 months. The woman had lived near Nice as a child for a couple years so it was kind of like coming home. ALSO, they had two children who were adopted from Korea! I don't know about you all, but I don't meet many people with kids who are adopted, so when that was revealed we had so much more to talk about. ...

... t pronounce them very well. Like I once was trying to tell Laura, "very good" in French: tres bien (tray bee-yon) (and the "r" has that....certain noise you make...not sure how to right it out. but if you hear french, listen to when they say a word with an "r" in it. they make this noise with their throat. like...well i'm not sure, ha but thats one of the more difficult parts of learning the language for me. ...
