Driving and driving some more
... are soon eating into the miles.
We take the Dick Turpin highway which is clear and fast moving, which is probably as no one wants to pay the toll, that is until we hit the Paris ring and take 2 hours to do the final 27 miles.
Not a lot else to report following a long tiring day in the car.
We arrive at our hotel shattered. Time for a quick meal (and some wine!!!) and off to bed for a long day ahead ...
Notre Dame/Arc de Triumph
... our apartment, we discovered that it has a beautiful view out of a skylight of a lit up Dome of a beautiful cathedral at night, through one of its many skylights...(quite breathtaking actually)

Paris
... on tour. Unfortunately the lineup at the Palais was huge and it cost 22 euro to get in so we abandoned the idea. In the end we opted to pay 10 for the neweurope walking tour of Montmartre, which was really amazing. We learned all about the history of the area, which is really artsy and bohemian and quaint (Van Gogh, Picasso, Dali, etc. all lived and worked there at some point). Super interesting.
