... seat, who kindly told me that it looked like the seat was reserved, thinking that I had just walked on looking for a spot. Or maybe she was just revolted by the sight of my still somewhat crusty pie eyes, and was afraid it was contagious.

Today and tonight was supposed to be spent in a small town named Honfleur, but I've grown tired of all the small French towns recently, and decided to spend my final night in a livelier place - Paris ...

Attached are photos of the many places viewed and visited: Champs-Elysees, the Arc de Triomphe, Vendome Square, Montmarte, Louvre, Orsay Museum, Opera Lafayette, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Place De La Concorde , Pantheon and Luxembourg Gardens. Hope you enjoy the photos.

Celebrity Cemetary and my date with a Chef!

... I Love Paris!!!! It is a romantic city (even though I was on my own I still felt special). Before heading to the restaurant I indulged in a few more Macaroons from Pierre Herme before heading over to Le Comptoir du Relais, owned and chefed by Yves Camdeborde. The menu changes daily and for 50 Euros you can feast on a five course meal. The restaurant only seats about 25 people and they all eat the same. This has to be one of the most ...

... glimpse of the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame. Then we decided to get on the tram to take us to our hostel. We got there and couldn't check in until 5, so we slept in the lobby for a couple hours. At about 6, we headed out to find the Louvre because entry is free on Friday nights. While looking for the Louvre, we saw the Eiffel Tower turn on the lights at 7 PM and I was so excited. Every hour, for the first five minutes of the hour, the ...

... architectural creation. There were a lot vintage clothing and souvenir stores in this area so we wandered around for a while until coming to our last destination, Notre Dame. Before we had not actually gone in the cathedral but this time it was open. We both decided that we have definitely been jaded when it comes to churches because although Notre Dame was very beautiful on the inside it just did not hold that same excitement that ...

The beautiful city of Paris

Finally Taylore and i got our time in Paris where we could actually see the city and all its sights. lots of backpackers we have met along our trip have told us that it was cool seeing the sights of Paris but they never need to go back because the people there are really rude, especially to Americans. we found this just isn't true. if you take the time to learn and say a few simple words in French like hello, goodbye, please, thank you, do you speak English, etc ...

Bienvenue a Paris!!!

... inside the actual Opera for a few minutes and then headed off to look around the shopping district of Paris. It was packed with tourists too. We went to the Tuileries and bought a crepes avec Nutella for a snack and walked around Place de la Concorde. We ended up by Les Invalides (Napoleon's tomb) and Musee Rodin. Both had new exhibits so that was fun for me to see the old and new parts to each. I think after this we headed back to the hostel to grab our coats and drop off the ...

Paris - Beautiful!

... made it in about 5 minutes! On the way back (around 12.30 am) we bought some crepes from a local shop, and when the shopkeeper found out I was from SA he had his friend take a picture and gave me a kiss!! Wanted to marry me and all sorts. Lots of weird men around, wish I'd bought a gold ring now so I can pretend I'm married! Since then it's been busy every day, and I developed a blister after the first day! I've done so much walking, but Paris is such a beautiful ...

... the food and wine are so good. I've liked all the French places we've managed to ski in so far - Val Thorens, Avoriaz, Tignes/Val d'Isere and La Plagne. That magic combination of excercise, fresh air and fantastic food. I've already booked next year: Alpe d'Huez. Of course, we are also close to Gatwick and thanks to a certain Stelios we managed to fly to Nice for Bastille day a couple of years ago. That was a ...
