On Sunday we hopped in the car and headed for Hamburg. Made it out of Boppard just in time, as we were told that the two highways along the Rhine heading in the direction we wanted to go were going to be shut down for a "Bike Day" event. Whew!

It was a long drive. For whatever reason, German authorities have decided that they need to build big walls, or plant solid thickets of trees along ...

... was actually early! John got some cash from the autogelt 20 metres away and we waited for the next bus. Eventually a bus came and we boarded. After frantically trying to get out, we reach a road and start looking for hotels. The first three we come across are all booked. We next come ...

Went to see where they repair. Lufthansa and customer plans. Couldn't take pictures inside, but neat facility. Got up close to 747 being overhauled. Saw two 747 for a middle Easter rich guy, being outfitted. In all a cost of about a billion dollars. Enjoyed some free time in Hamburg Olster Lake. Rode on a solar powered ...

... it was wonderful to be able to sit down and talk about the ATW80 programme and his take on BCD in EMEA. I was pleasantly surprised at how earnestly he asked questions about each of our backgrounds, experiences with the programme, and thoughts going forward. I also appreciated hearing Stephan’s take on the challenges currently facing the EMEA region. He focused on the fact that these challenges are not necessarily as desperate as they seem and challenge is not ...
