... underwear seems to be order of the day. The afternoon was spent walking to the MBK center with 6 floors of shops and a somewhat sterile food court. The tiny local Thai place next door was much better. We moved to the Grand 4 Wings Hotel for our last night in Bangkok, as that's where the backpack was stored and much closer to the airport.
Off to HK tomorrow, I think we are ready to go home as we haven't seen home in 2015 yet ...

... Finally the big countdown came! I sorely lamented at this point that I only knew one Thai number, 5. Still I joined in by just yelling something that sounded like what they were saying until I reached 5, and then continued with my joyful gibberish. At “1” fireworks began bursting in the air, and the whole crowd let out an extended cheer! My family and I took some pictures, and then walked back to our Guest House for some much needed sleep.
