... t stand looking at any more Swiss Army Knives or crazy expensive Swiss watches, we settled on a little café for lunch with all of the locals in town. Bree had a goulash soup having remembered how wonderful the one we got in Munich was and it ended up being alright, it’s always hard when you try to repeat a “best one we’ve ever had” dish like that at a random restaurant. Now I am 18 and still have the bear, I said if I can't take my dogs then I will take the ...

To give him credit Pete ate every bit but we are still a bit puzzled as to why there were two whole meals, couldn’t quite get the explanation. Theresa even told me how to cook it so I’ll definitely try that, and the method for making rosti which relies on the potatoes being barely cooked in their skins the day before if possible, then peeled and roughly grated, put ...

      Travel to Lucerne (Luzern)

... piles of snow and covered trees, before coming back down into the valley that would take us to Luzern.

When we arrived in Luzern, we were pleasantly surprised by our hotel (a "last resort" booking as all other hotels I had a preference for were either booked up or extremely expensive). Despite thinking it was going to be a standard, boring hotel, we had been upgraded to a cute little loft room, with huge soaking tub, all modern and updated ...
