Today was great! After we got our car and started navigating the streets of Gothenburg ( Göteborg), we got the hang of it. I love driving in roundabouts!! ... leg north as it is often very uncomfortable arriving into touristy towns, direct from the wilds with helmet hair, amidst all the smartly dressed, sweet smelling tourists! Instead we turned south and headed the 30km towards Fredikshavn-where we planned to take the ferry to Gothenburg in Sweden the next day.

We made our way to the wild campsite which we knew existed just outside of Fredrikshavn, but had no idea of the grand surrounds awaiting us! We arrived ...

... a gold crown at the top of the roof. Placed on a high point in the city, it has great views of Gothenburg. Definitely worth the climb.


From there we made it back towards the ship. We managed to beat a rainstorm, which was good luck on our part. We only had a few hours at the port…and we managed to walk 5 miles by 11 am. By lunchtime we were back on the ship and off sailing towards ...

Just a quick update before we head to the outback.
Peta ran in the half-marathon today and did it in 1 hour and 46 minutes, which we think is pretty good! It's the biggest half marathon in the world with 65000 runners and about 200000 spectators. It starts in this huge park and goes through the main part of the city. Very, very crowded but a lot of music and happy people.
After the farm visit we head to Stockholm, not Innsbruck as Jim typed before.

... How mad was I on Erik of course, but on even more on myself. Erik was wise enough and calmed me down ensuring that I will find there the swimming suit of his mum or sister and it's won't be a problem to use them. None was detected on the place except for 4 pairs of Erik's dad's swimming pants. So that I had nothing to do but to go for them. Funfunfun. Just like a family comedy, right?
