... the way they were engaging with the children at the handovers improved massively. One hotel even put on a gingerbread baking and decorating class, which my colleague Khamilla and I were invited to take part in. The only photo shoot left is for the Now! Jakarta donation to our chosen charity, somehow I don't think the decorative quality will be quite as good! I tried making chocolate crispy wreaths last night as a practice, forgetting that the heat here in Jakarta would melt them ...

... famed Batavia Cafe, one hours drive..easier on a Sunday but allow 2-3 hours weekdays!! Must be good food!!
The drive is very entertaining.. past all classes of lifestyle, all modes of travel, past opulent high rises, squats under bridges etc etc.. ... The tiny baby even knew where to hold on, though he could barely sit up. And NO helmets mind you. CRAZY...

After checking in and realising I still had NO local cash, I was informed that the only store in the resort takes only cash- so no cigarettes, no power convertor, no food ( unless room service) until I get back to the airport. This was not a great mood improver. However; note to all. It turns out, Indonesia uses the same power plugs as Europe.
