... not last long. We didn't even need to turn the wipers on, as they came on automatically. Many people overtook us but Brad was going about 110kph on the tollway. The speed limit here is 130kph.

We arrived at Sal and David's home just before 2pm. They live in a very small village, or cluster of houses really. In fact there are 9 houses sort of clustered together. Their home is delightful, filled with character and parts of it date from the 1400's. ...

... to Steve and Jane's for another week.

Ground work is not for everyone. We quickly grew to hate clearing land, but enjoyed that the work was varied everyday.

Jane has an old Renault she allowed us to use if we wanted to take a drive on our day off; so we took a drive to La Rochelle, had a walk around the town, drove down to the coast and took a detour to Mcdonalds for lunch! :) Standard. Now we continue on to our next hosts!

... realised it was a Salamander. It was black and yellow though and I'm pretty sure those colours mean danger, but supposedly not. On Monday we started work which was quite a long day and tiring as it was moving heavy boxes and parts of wardrobes too a different building up these very old, unstable looking stairs! Steve and Jane gave us the day off today as they had friends coming over for lunch so we were allowed to drive their really old Renault which I think was made in 1985. ...

... potential for another wine moment. Although we have been unable to get out and about, Le Serpolin is an idyllic retreat just to relax and unwind as borne out by the numerous glowing testimonies in the guest book which I scanned through whilst waiting for something to download from the Internet. Imagine my surprise to find some names of people I know! Small world ...
