... our guide said! The tour finished in a musty old cellar, sampling several glasses of champagne, bien sūr! Wonderful!

After being boggled by the sheer number of fancy 'maisons de champagne' just in this tiny village, we then had an outstanding lunch at a very stylish restaurant, Le Mesnil, recommended in Lonely Planet. Entrees of seared tuna & quinoa and escargot in cream sauce (SO ...

We started our morning with many yawns and two long whites from Craft, the hipster coffee place across from our apartment. We took the metro to the RER station, which took us straight to Disneyland (45 minutes later). The weather was perfect, partly cloudy and around 22c. But the kids, mainly the girls were excited with Mia commencing a dance that replaced her walking for the next 48 hours and Audrey feigning fear of the unknown as she walked through the gates. They talk about suspending belief when you enter Disney, everything is possible in the happiest place on earth. This ...

... to term as the "perfect house-wife of Disney." Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Snow White are perfect. Flawless even. They have no character flaws, but are instead entrapped by the world around them. Also, if you look at their physicality. Hello 50s stereotype for the perfect woman. From the 60s to the 80s, princess movies didn't exist for Disney. Maybe Walt's franchise couldn't cope with hippies and bra burning feminists. What message would we send to women with that?
