      From Provins, we had an easy drive to Reims. The sun can out during our drive – hurray! On the way, we drove through the town of Epernay, which has some of the most expensive real estate in the world, along the Avenue de Champagne. Of course, we drove along the avenue, admiring the chateau of all the famous champagne makers.

      ... of cellars right under their facility in town. In the reception there they have the largest wine barrel in the world which was built over 7 years in the 1880's and they pulled it by ox and horse into Paris for the world expo in 1889. It holds 200,000 bottles of wine.

      ... Except it was a couple of miles out of town the wrong way. They were a wee bit surprised when I declined. Ended up in a municipal campsite also a couple of miles out but at least on my route tomorrow which brings it down slightly to 23 miles. Every little helps.
