    ... the church, each of the little timber chairs in the entire church had a little plaque with the name of a french family and their was a marble plaque engraved with the names of French royalty and catholic seniority that has been entombed here since the 700's. The church was almost completely destroyed in the first world war so granted much of this was rebuilt but it is still beautiful none the less.     ... Except it was a couple of miles out of town the wrong way. They were a wee bit surprised when I declined. Ended up in a municipal campsite also a couple of miles out but at least on my route tomorrow which brings it down slightly to 23 miles. Every little helps.
