    ... natural park on the Montagne (mountain, but think hill) de Reims yesterday and not a leaf in sight. The grape vines are all quite naked, too. But the vineyards are full of trucks and cars and people and odd agricultural implements. Stan thinks they are spraying before the leaves come out.     ... and we went for about an hour and a half with a couple of stops before we found a lakeside beach to sit on and have our lunch.     ... Except it was a couple of miles out of town the wrong way. They were a wee bit surprised when I declined. Ended up in a municipal campsite also a couple of miles out but at least on my route tomorrow which brings it down slightly to 23 miles. Every little helps.
