We ate two huge chunks of juicy beef pavé with some rice and vegetables. What the auberge lacked in ambience, it made up for by the quality of its beef. We walked down to the modern part of the town to the L'Eclerc, to buy provisions for our stay as we found ourselves in a self-catering apartment. Who can resist a French supermarket?
