... Saint Emilion .... BEAUTIFUL! The town is full of gorgeous old buildings, narrow streets, vineyards and stunning chateaus. We explored at our own pace here, and sat down for a beautiful lunch right in the middle of the town, surrounded by the many of the old buildings. Will definitely be bringing our parents back here when they come over! Next trip was to the Great Dune du Pyla. Again, a 45 minute drive from Bordeaux, but heading towards the coast. After arriving at the airport we found the French side (the airport crosses the border), headed to the hire car desk, and in no time we were heading off. We had never driven on the wrong side of the road, let alone on the wrong side of the car. With fresh ...

... and I had punched out good runs on Sunday and Monday, and so with the arrival of the Patchett's Steve immediately suggests an early morning ride. There are a range of nice bikes in the shed of our place and one actually looks like a road bike, but on Tuesday morning when we line up together I know I am in trouble. He might be giving me 19 years, but he has a whole bunch of Lycra, a $10,000 bike, and all sorts of other gear, and I have a pair ...
