... a bus ride over to Bon Marche to show them the food hall, we all left a little poorer, but I was able to get the seafood. We parted ways with Simon and Liv and caught the bus home with Issy, she and I then got into the kitchen, she is a great and keen little cook, she stirred the sauce and helped with creme anglais. ... it would be like to have our city overtaken. Our walk then continued on down the Champs Elysses, Paris's road of luxury. ... an hour but eventually I was inside eagerly anticipating my first sight of Monet's famous waterlily panels in all their glory. My first thought when seeing them was not "wow", it was "is this it, is this all it is?" My second thought was " I queued up for half an hour on a cold drizzly morning to see this".
