... one next to me was very friendly and chatty but the other was a big young man and unnerved me a bit. Then the one next to me told me he was born in Syria and the other was from Palestine. That put the wind up me a bit. Then the hostess asked for them for their bags to put up above as we were in an exit row and one said to be careful as his was fragile. ... degrees. It eventually reached 16.5 by the middle of the afternoon. Our next stop was at Villers-Bretonneux. It was a lovely memorial and, because he knew where to look, Kent quickly found the name of FP Rogers, his great-uncle. His name was third from the top of a column and, as we couldn't reach it, we placed a poppy at the bottom of the column. ... was a clear day so you could see far. After the Arc, we headed for a stroll down the Champs to get some lunch. We then just strolled and took in all the sights.
