... and also had to keep very quiet inside, but we went straight in without waiting and walked through. Very impressive! Next stop was a trip down the Champs Élysées, known as the most beautiful avenue in the world. It was a long straight road about 8 lanes wide leading up to the Arc de Triomphe, a huge arc like gateway. The roundabout around this arc was incredible. It is lovely to be able to contact home every day- thank goodness for internet. I was sick today so spent the day resting in bed. How luxurious. Alana went to the flea markets and they were massive, full of antiques and market junk.
