Does what is says, clean handy bed, yucky green, I miss my kettle.

In hindsight score improved. Has a quiet nights sleep, shower was super and 4.95 breakfast more than adequate.

And so after a long flight - 12+ hours - we arrived in Paris, grabbed a quick drink and then on to Birmingham. Unfortunately, Pat's suitcase decided to stop off in Paris but will hopefully be delivered tomorrow! Back to a sunny UK, with a temperature not much cooler than Hanoi yesterday, where the blossom is in full swing. Lots of memories of a lovely holiday. ...

... our way and arrived without too much delay to check in. Luggage was booked straight through - hopefully we would see it again in HCMC.
A short flight to Paris before we boarded Air France plane for the long flight to Vietnam. We dozed a bit, read a bit and watched films a bit to while away the time. Somewhere along the way we lost 7hrs in time difference and most of Thursday. And so we arrived - not sure if it was Thursday or Friday - ready to start our adventures. ...

The sour-faced woman showed no indication that she spoke English. Adonis, bless him, pulled the case over into his legroom and sour-face sat down without a thank you. I tried to stop the piled bags from toppling over onto her.

The next stop was Nijmegen. Adonis and I both got up. I think I was already a bit in ...

... block. We had been on the go for five hours, so we decided to take his suggestion. It was a peaceful mooring, in sight of the factory wharf we had used in 2000, before the BCN Challenge. On that occasion, we had moored under the factory canopy away from the towpath, and another boat was on the towpath side. They had trouble with someone in the night jumping on their boat and letting the ropes off, but we were safe.

... second and Mike and Jane's first. Phil and I got delayed for about four hours in total so Phil got started on some beers while I stuck to the herbal teas, hydrating for the weekend ahead. Seasoned Oktoberfesters, we made our way from the airport with more ease than the last time and found our hostel. Sadly it was full of Aussies, and I was glad to know that Jane and I shared the same sentiments when it came to encountering other Aussies on holiday. We have ...
