I spent the first two days of the new year with sister Helen sharing some very enjoyable skiing . The weather was again superb, full sunshine and clear skies. In fact the weather on Friday actually climbed up above zero, only just but we could feel the difference. It snowed again overnight. Another good fall so skiing is definitely now on the agenda. In preparation we travelled through postcard perfect scenery back into La Clusaz to organise final equipment. ... and what seemed like an eternity, I stood up, jumped on the bike and rode that final K, and when I saw the finish line, tears were flowing, I couldn't believe I had made it !!!

I had finished in 7:12:47 and come in 6004th place. Lucy had finished in 7:10:22 and finished in 5858th place !!! It was an unbelievable experience, amazing.
