... little city. From there we take a lake cruise to the 4 tributaries of lake Lucerne, it was beautiful on the water. Some fantastic villas by the lakeside with spectacular mountain backdrops. It was a shame the weather turned grey and cloudy, the snow capped peaks just merge into any photographs. It was a very long journey from our home in Baar to our home away from home, the AIDAcara.
Here is an overview of our journey in stages:
10 minutes walk from home to train station (with luggage)
50 minutes train from Baar to Zurich airport (met 2 others going on a cruise on AIDAvita)
1 hour flight from Zurich to Munich (went smooth)

... get around by tram. The Swiss reputation for being exacting about time is well-deserved -- the trams are perfectly on time, and we never had to wait more than a couple of minutes to get anywhere. We took a short tram up a steep hill to check out a castle at the top, which turned out to have been converted into a ultra-high-end hotel where we clearly weren't welcome. We tried to go to a toy museum but it was closed, so ...
