- Talking about shoes. I've never seen so many single shoes being abandoned in the streets of Asia. And they are definitely everywhere.
Would I travel to Asia again? Yes, of course! I loved every minute there even though sometimes the asians drove me up the wall. But generally it's friendly, peaceful and veeeeerrrrrry laid back.
literally they are and have been for a good 10 minutes. I wish they'd shut up as they are very noisy. It's 7pm and I'm back and in bed. I've done a total of 25,000 steps and I walked for 5 hours. I had a kip for a couple of hours earlier as I had got up at 4am and I wanted to stay out of the midday heat so I didn't leave the hotel until two. It was a very long journey from our home in Baar to our home away from home, the AIDAcara.
Here is an overview of our journey in stages:
10 minutes walk from home to train station (with luggage)
50 minutes train from Baar to Zurich airport (met 2 others going on a cruise on AIDAvita)
1 hour flight from Zurich to Munich (went smooth)
2 hour layover in ...
... in the city. It was really really great to see her and catch-up/reminisce about Ireland. Friday night we went out (which included an Irish bar named Gracies and some Guiness!) and I got to meet some of her friends. Saturday I got a tour of her office building (which is an AMAZING office) We hung out on the balcony of the office which overlooks Lake Luzern and the surrounding mountains.
