With the task list slowly diminishing, and a sunny Saturday announced, I rented an E-bike for the weekend. I got up this morning (9ish) and finally got to see the Saturday morning market. The market consists of the sale of vegetables, fruits, some meat, fish, bakery items and lots of flowers and cheese of course! It was all so tempting!! But practical me restrained from the fresh flowers and headed to the stores to buy some 'almost real'..some ...
It was a very long journey from our home in Baar to our home away from home, the AIDAcara.
Here is an overview of our journey in stages:
10 minutes walk from home to train station (with luggage)
50 minutes train from Baar to Zurich airport (met 2 others going on a cruise on AIDAvita)
1 hour flight from Zurich to Munich (went smooth)
2 hour layover in ...
... turned off precisely at midnight. Oh well, at least I got to see it for a few minutes!
I crashed A's friend's 30th birthday party the next evening. They rented a community centre and had a huge bbq for at least 70-80 people. There was even a live band! Unfortunately, most of her friends could only speak Swiss-German so I was limited to conversing with the few who could speak even any English. Off to the Swiss Alps tomorrow!
