Ibis Avranches Mont St Michel Saint-Quentin-sur-le-Homme

We arrived in St Malo at 8am Sunday morning, and waited in the departure lounge for about 3 hours untill aymericks friend eddy turned up.
Playing out guitars in an empty terminal, hungover, eddy finally arrived and we drove down in his make shift old banger of a mobile home van. Eddys family are beautiful, he has 3 great kids and a beautiful cottqge in awsome village.

A truly remarkable island which is an architectural wonder with the monastery on top. Makes me think of a sandcastle out on the beach. With the tide out you could walk to 7km out to it if you want. Even with this experience under my belt I am still game for going ahead with our own hobby farm and including animals on it. As I've said before (I think twice in this little blurb - sorry for being so defensive, but we always have to defend ourselves about this), we don't like to kill animals, but until the day that we decide to stop eating meat this is the way that things are done. I would rather raise my own ...

This is the home of about a 12 chickens, 6 ducks, 4 rabbits, 2 hare, 6 quail, 2 guinea fowl, and 2 pigs. We are greatly looking forward to learning how to care for these different animals. I would like to someday keep chickens, ducks, rabbit, pigs too so this will be great experience. I would also like to have some goats and maybe sheep, but we'll start with the ...

Finally in France! It's one of those pinch-me-so-I-know-it's-real moments. So much of this journey we just keep going day after day and I don't really feel like I'm 'traveling' per say. But today we've crossed over to mainland Europe and are in a country where we can't speak the language very well. It's all a new start. Things are different and exciting again!
