We were enjoying spending time with our family and also had long days and short nights- which did not allow for much blogging time. After visiting the Royal Yacht Britannia we were escorted to the airport by the family where we once again said our goodbyes before continuing on to Switzerland. We had lunch at ...

... a fascinating place to visit. Those who have studied any French probably know the song: Sur le pont d’Avignon, about the ancient bridge in Avignon. The bridge was built and rebuilt several times, each time being destroyed by flooding in the river Rhône. Half of the old bridge still stands today.
