This morning we drove through Slovenia's only National Park. The park covers a few mountains near the Slovenia, Italy, and Austria borders. The road over the mountain contains 50 switchbacks/hairpin turns; that doesn't count other turns, just the severe ones! Grant, had the pleasure of driving with other drivers who like to use both lanes, along with motorcycles, ...

And just to top our day off, we didn’t even have a sunset! We had been hopeful but no, it decided to be cloudy.

Damn those church bells, maybe we should have just left them alone! ...

Majestic Lake Bled

... around the majestic lake which was beautifully clear and azure blue. I figured this was in part thanks to the distinct lack of petrol boats, indeed, it seemed the only way to reach the island was by rowing boat. For the tour groups of course were larger boats which seated around twelve and the task of rowing them across the river fell to the poor bugger at the back with just a pair of oars…! Not a job I envied I assure you. I especially felt sorry ...
