    First last night's dinner. Just Carole, Amr and I went, as John still feeling unwell and slept it off. The 3 of us braved the metro again and after only one misadventure (entering in a gate leading to the wrong direction - this doesn't always matter, one entrance can lead to all directions - but anyway Amr saved the day by appealing to the woman who had just sold us the tickets in his best french, and she let us in the other gates!!     ... Seine River and we admired the picturesque city with many people enjoying picnics along the river. We went inside the Cathedral de Notre Dame and into the Musee de Louvre, doing all the typical touristy things such as photos with da Vinci's mischievous Mona Lisa and being silly outside the Pyramide du Louvre.
