I forgot to mention yesterday how impressed I was with the town of Carnac and its beaches. The town has a quintessential beach town feel and the white sand beaches are top notch. I bet this place is hopping in the summer.

With one more Menhir to see before leaving Carnac, that being the Granddaddy of Menhirs, Le Geant du Manio, we parked at the head of the track and walked a 1/2km past the equestrian centre through the trees. The trail is totally unmarked so you have ...

Final day at the camp site today and I must say, it's been brilliant here, we have a final breakfast and clear up the hut for 10am, the car is well packed and we have the bikes all racked up again on the back of the car. The Mitton's drive on once packed up and we Marshall's go for for a swim and use the slides for a while,we then relax a bit by the pool until 12 and head off by car after that. It's not too far a drive ...

Rather than stay and get cabin fever, we get in our cars and drive off to Sables to pay a visit to the Intersport, it's really busy on the roads in the town, we find where we are going though OK and get a few things in the ...

... then seem to have to keep them in a water filled bottle for eating later. Once we are all packed up, we have muddy feet etc and head to the quay side where there are a few hits selling oysters and other shellfish for lunch, sadly not for me as I fear that my immune system to oysters is a bit too risky for holiday, we do though get some ice creams and buy some souvenir honey and salt before heading back, the boys tear off on their bikes, girls behind with heather and Richard ...

    Slightly more easy day today......

A travel blog entry by marshallrj on Aug 12, 2015

... at all, I follow a very we'll aid out route so you can't get lost amble around threes all towns and villages, past a small port, then follow the signs back. The return takes me instead along a new board walk path that goes over abortion of the estuary, it's a brilliant addition to their area for walkers and cyclists and it's very pretty.you can see the salt pans, some returned into fishing ponds and i do wander f some are,are ...
