Frecciarossa back to Milan. Had enough of cities, though Bologna has character, and want to get out to country. Hotel breakfast ok- scrambled eggs and meatballs and big flat round bread loaves. Had trouble understanding Trenitalia ticketing machine and paid for 2 tix, but not expensive- 4€ and 6€ for second and first class tix to Como. Lots of 'helpers' at machines- Africans everywhere. We have 131.5km on the clock for the ...

... Fair Play it really is a magnificent building. Rhid gets the tickets easily enough and then we get touted by some African guys who pretend they're working for the rail company, they look at your ticket, suck their teeth and lead you to the completely wrong platform, looking all officious...then out comes the hand that wants to be crossed with Euro metal....great scam, the best bit is that they really do look the part as they wear suits and ties...fantastic. I tip him generously ...

... just to mention a few. Then there is the multitude of restaurants where we can sample some of the finest Parma ham and cheese.

So yesterday and today was spent taking leisurely strolls around the city, poking our noses into here and there (including every perfumery shop in Parma), enjoying plates of Parma ham and cups of most excellent coffee.
