      So just around the corner was this beaut lass who took all,our laundry and made it new. Merci madam. Then off to the church of the Miraculous Medal around the next corner as requested by a few folk. Arrived just at the same time a mass started and realised it just sounds better in French.       ... gold, as are many of the rooms. There is a lot of marble in colors such as pink, yellow and white. The hall of mirrors is full of glass between the mirrors on the walls and the chandeliers - interesting to think that mirror was a luxury at the time! We treated ourselves to a formal lunch in the Chateau restaurant before moving outside the Palace.       ... and sort out these stupid phones, the concierge won but Optus be very afraid when I get home.
      The ferry crossing from Dover to Calais took, about 1 and half hours, and no Jacinta I didn't sing the song out loud just in my head, it was fairly uneventful apart from Alan's phone this time going berserk in the middle of the English Channel welcoming him to France, ironically Optus may have finally got it right and we both have full service here in France...ok ...

      ... I always heard that people in Paris weren't very friendly, but I was shocked to find this to be true. Granted, not everyone was rude, but the atmosphere of Paris was definitely less friendly than everywhere else we had traveled.
