    This morning after skype calls with the kids, we caught the metro to the Batignolles market in the north west of town. It was quite calm and almost empty when we arrived at about 11:45 am but we happily bought paupiettes de veau with prunes and apricots., chevre and roquefort cheese, vegetables and fruit.     ... as much in. Have been relaxing most of the day, but went to the supermarket to buy flowers for the house and food for tea. Was a large shopping mall away from the Main Street, so Mr. Sous drove us there. I took some photos to show items and prices. Very expensive to shop there.     ... The triumphal arch is in honor of those who fought for France, in particular, those who fought during the Napoleonic Wars. Engraved on the inside and at the top of the arch are all of the names of the generals and wars fought.
