    ... eight french speaking people was a challenge of understanding and patience but two of the guests were pilgrims doing 2 weeks per year hiking the camino and they had a little english to go with Laurie's little french so we got on fine until the politics came out and it got beyond our capacity.     ... single lady behind us...

    Back in Fontenay the next day I managed to wrest back linguistic control and got us a very nice table at the Oasis - a somewhat unprepossessing place from the outside, but once through the door....ooh la la!

    All a golden, peach and mint green, slightly bling dining room with a very energetic patron. Lamb and prune tagine to die for. Rick made a mistake going for the safe but less interesting formule.
