Our long day of traveling began with a long morning of getting ready. John made amazing omlettes for breakfast. They had caramelized onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, brie and spices. We also had these little sweet bread slash muffin things called Madelines(?). Yum. After breakfast we made sandwiches for the train and packed our bags. We also attempted to cut John's hair with the clippers. I would say that it is pretty good for two people who have never done that sort of thing ...

... was most of Brussels to be honest! Quite a quiet city which was perfect for our first day.

We were both pretty tired and had a short nap in the sun in Parc de Bruxelles after watching a concert band play in the bandstand! Mannekin Pis (statue of a peeing boy) was...random. And weird but cool to see it nonetheless!

The only hiccup so far was an hour delay in unloading our baggage. Apparently they didn’t have the equipment to do it???. We spent longer waiting at the baggage claim than in the air, but the Uniworld people did know and waited. I will explore the ship shortly as there is nothing to do today and I am not used to that. I am going to publish these two and then see if I can upload photographs.

... up the tyres and then the open track.... MENTAL.. .We were actually on the Nurburgring in Sully—All of a sudden a couple of Beemers and Porches flew past us.... Oh my god.... and that was just at the start.... The tracks about 23 KM/ 13 miles long... the kilometres were being knocked off and we could see what we had done as there was little markers around the track...managed to get the tyres squealing for mercy a couple of times but those couple of times ...

    Bonjour!

So this past week one of my best friends from home, Elizabeth, came to visit. It was GW's spring break, so she arrived last Friday. The beginning of the week started off a bit rocky....there were a few roommate issues but they are all solved now thankfully.

Last Saturday night a bunch of us went out to Rembrandtplein and took Elizabeth to Club Nasty, which is always an experience. We moved onto Coco's after that, and just kind of had a chill night.
