Geneva is clean, ordered, pretty and oh so expensive. We walked the old quarter, along the banks of Lake Geneva. We walked through the botanical gardens and saw the flower clock which is supposed to keep fantastic time, as you would expect of Swiss precision.

As soon as we checked into our room we put the air conditioner on full blast and the coldest it would go, but they must have shut it off because there was no difference in the temperature of our room. We therefore had to keep the window open each night just like we did in Lyon and we endured the smell of a fireplace all night ...

... grew accustomed to it. James and I shared the all you can eat Chinese beef fondue. I wish they knew what they signed up for when they gave me the option to eat all I could because I certainly got my money's worth. We ended up ordering 5 plates of beef. A huge mound of fries, 3 loaves of bread, 6 different types of sauces, and rice came with the beef, and I made sure not to leave a spec of food on any of the plates. It was well worth ...
