The promised land is busy
... it was maybe not too bad so tried the canal water again. Here is a tip folks. Anything alloy below zero will freeze water. Big Day Today
... and it almost felt like I was back home.
When we returned, my parents went to take a nap and my sister asked me to do gymnastics with her. She said she loved having me here because her brothers never play with her. I was so happy in that moment knowing that she accepts me. Of course I said yes. She kept trying to get me to do a flip on the trampoline. I tried and failed countless times. I think we bonded over my clumsiness.

Thinking of Home
... grades. Every test and piece of work is graded out of 20. Anything above 10 is good and anything above a 15 is excellent. Getting a 20 is about the same thing as 150% on a test in the US. So when my teacher handed it out, everyone was absolutely shocked. She made a point to tell the class that they need to work harder because I don't even entirely understand the language but I could finish the entire test without a mistake. Suffice to say I was proud of myself.
