The Aire in St. Paul is being re-surfaced but note that apart from shop which closes at 19:30 there is nothing else in the village by way of facilities.

We must have passed signs for 100 Chateau or Caves in our evening journey through the heart of the wine region. The neat rows of the vines are such a beautiful sight.

We got on a fast train this morning and took off in a southerly direction to a place called Cerons It only took about 15 minutes but doing around 240km an hour that's about 40 - 50 kilometres (Counting a few stops on the way).

That said, there was a wonderful feel ...

... of us trekked over. for a bite. I had my first Orangina of the trip and a very pleasant little sandwich. Even run-of-the-mill baguettes in France are superb.

While we were eating, it poured rain briefly and then the sun came out for our walk back to the hotel where we all had rooms now. Caroline and I declined an invitation to travel to downtown Bordeaux in favour of a nap.

Refreshed and showed by late afternoon, we walked ...

... as well as looking as though people were walking on water! That was pretty cool! So we walked back along the river, where even though it was just across the road, felt like a totally different part of town! It was green everywhere and there were trees and parks and pretty lights and beautifully lit up bridges. We made our way along there for a bit until it ran out, then crossed the road again and headed back to the hotel and to ...
