    Another long bus ride, but the lovely green scenery made the time pass quickly. The bus company i used this time is punctual, and arrives on time.
    The first day out starts out as a lovely day, so plenty of walking to be done. Bordeaux is so different to Lyon. The buildings seem to be a lot older.     It's 11.30 pm, and Amr is already asleep next to me, but must write up today before I forget. We woke this morning, a cloudless perfect morning, as was predicted, and suddenly found life was good, and we could cope with a city and people and traffic and cyclists....thank goodness.     ... over for a bite. I had my first Orangina of the trip and a very pleasant little sandwich. Even run-of-the-mill baguettes in France are superb.

    While we were eating, it poured rain briefly and then the sun came out for our walk back to the hotel where we all had rooms now. Caroline and I declined an invitation to travel to downtown Bordeaux in favour of a nap.

    ... the perfect group- we are all pretty easy going, but like to do things and be efficient when traveling. I really am my father's daughter, and in true Chris Duran fashion, planned the whole trip from start to finish for the group. I loved it.
