It's been a hectic few days, getting ready for this trip, but finally I'm on my way! Pegasus Airlines cancelled my Istanbul to Konya flight and I didn't find out till late Sunday! Managed to rebook for the next morning (Wed) and find a room in the airport hotel. Now I'm on my way ...

    Hi Everyone,

Exciting exit for us, Matt, Maddi, Ross and I from Brisbane and 14hrs into Dubai. Had a great flight and whisked to our hotel in 2xMercedes (don't you love Dubai). It was 42deg (don't you hate Dubai) and I do not have to tell you it was bloody hot. Needless to say we spent our day in the huge shopping mall attached to our hotel, 3 storey high aquarium, ice rink, sega world fun park with huge rides, a shopper and kids paradise.

But this is the longest single span cable car in the world. It's incredibly steep too, you arrive at the cable car station almost vertically. On exiting the cable car we were in the middle of a snow storm. Standing on the highest bridge in Europe ...

... for there rules. I couldn't deal with missing a flight.
Took off on time this time and landed and cleared customs by 9.00pm and Pierre our driver was there waiting for us, what a great service especially when you are in a foreign country and late, although not dark yet.
We head back 8 km's and back into France to collect the camper. Alls good, we park up just near the depot as it backs onto farm land.
Next day we head into ...
