      Ignoring the typical grey sky of a North German autumn we headed out to the spectacular town of Monschau which was established about 1000 years ago. On the way we passed through Holland and Belgium to reach this small German town, an experience that is incomprehensible to an Australian mindset.

      Left for belgium this morning. Just entered the french speaking country and I read about some caves in liege, belgium that I will try to find. And then onto brussels.. an intereting thing in europe is all the public bathrooms cost money to use... here are some pictures of the roads. The sign that looks like a ghost busters sign means theres no speed ...

      On Sunday, we embarked on our journey from Kaiserslautern, Germany to Brugge, Belgium. We had a scheduled FIVE trains to get us to our destination. After misinterpreting our first itinerary and missing the very first train, we were able to catch another train to get us back on track towards Brugge. Much later that night, while waiting to board our fourth of five trains, we learned that the train had been canceled and may or may not be rescheduled for ...

      ... anyway, then see the track had been opened. We hurry up to the track, taking some photos and trying to make it to the podium, but soon they we rushed along to the FIA press conference and gone were our hopes of meeting our superstar Aussie driver.

      We wandered the track, took some photos and started to make our way back up the hill towards the shuttle bus to camp... With 10s of 1000s of other GP goers.

      ... had a long chat with him. Post race, met several Aussies (From Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide) and celebrated for a while before joining the traffic chaos. Took more than three times as long as it should have to get back to Malmedy. Needed the police escort the Red Bull convoy got! Back about 7.30pm.
