Last night after having a long chat and multiple laughs over what transpired over this trip, we did not realise time was flying and finally when we head to be it was already three am. Oh gosh, I knew that this morning was going to be very difficult for me.
Set the alarm at five am and when it rang, I wished I could just shut it off and …
It was an extremely long and tiring journey. We had a few toilet stops in between at petrol kiosks and also one tea stop. In total, the journey too us 4 hours. This additional delay was contributed by the heavy flow of lorries which it seems in Indonesia, start their journey after 6 pm when it is dark. The interesting thing I observed about heavy …
The Mendut Temple is a 9th Century Buddhist Temple built also by the Sailendra Dynasty like that of Pawon and Borobudur Temples however, carbon dating has proved this temple to be the oldest among the three and it is said that this was constructed first. This temple lies in the Mendut Village and thus has been called as the Mendut Temple.

Well truly, this was the fastest I had ever had lunch in my life. As we had limited time in our hands, the driver took us through some village roads to avoid the traffic on the main stream streets and somehow, within 45 minutes we arrived at Magelang town. If we had taken the main roads, it would have taken us at least 1 hour and 30 minutes.

We found this hotel to be very basic, just good for overnight sleepovers and business people who hardly spend time in the room. There were certain issues we faced like room service not provided just because we did not pay a deposit (although the room was fully paid for before check in) and they had not even asked for this deposit when we checked in, very limited parking space and cramped foyer, out of beers etc. Otherwise, I would prefer Novotel any time. Just though of trying this for a change, but regretted.
