Hotel Ibis in my travel experience in Europe is that they are reliable, predictable and clean. the rooms are small but clean. For a quick stay during travel is worth it. they have breakfast in the morning which saves a lot of time

Mount Pilatus has the longest summer toboggan track in Switzerland (0.88 miles or 1,350 m) and the biggest suspension rope park in Central Switzerland. Neither were open. During the summer, the "Golden Round Trip" — a popular route for tourists — involves taking a boat from Lucerne across Lake Lucerne to Alpnachstad, going up on the cogwheel railway, coming down on the aerial cableways and panorama gondolas, ...

... it back down and headed back to Lucerne on the coach, both disappointed and dissatisfied with the amount of money we paid but didn’t really get to see anything. Oh well, there is always a next time I suppose!

Sunday was our last day in Lucerne and we decided to leave at 17:00 so that we could watch the F1 Grand Prix at a sports bar. After we checked out, we took the bus to the train station to store our luggage. I saw these very cute ...

... good quality! The hotels and shops here are heated to about 20 degrees or more, so you are constantly putting on or taking off layers of clothes..a hot cheesy pie and apple tart, washed down with coffee, was a good supper. Ian has been drooling over the bakeries that seem to be around every corner..they stock so many different types of delicious looking bread and rolls..as well as fruit tarts, apple strudel, coconut macaroons (huge) and etc ...

... gate to wait for Jodi. She got out just before 7am. It was great to see her. She looked a little tired of the long flight and was really sore from sitting for so long. We went straight to the train ticket office and bought train tickets to Venice for much more than we were hoping for. Our train wasn't until 9.09am so we had a bit of time to walk around Zurich. We stopped at a cafe for a coffee and then at a mini supermarket to buy supplies ...

This morning we woke up and outside the window there was a huge medieval castle with a large football field in front of it. Calum and I played football and took some pictures. Then we set off for a three hour journey again. On the drive, Calum and I played on the ipad for a while. I kept on asking, "How much longer until we get to Dad's hotel in Lake Maggiore?" We finally arrived (early) at Dad's workplace and Calum and I played with Lego for a while, waiting for him. Then ...
