    Day 2, Chatillon to Blasé

A travel blog entry by barbara.goodall on Jun 09, 2015

Again a chilly morning, and we started cycling along the banks of the Soane river. Very pretty. Farmland with Charilais cattle. Lunch was a picnic on the banks of the Soane. Lovely setting. After lunch we followed the banks of the river for several kms, sometimes quite rough terrain. Crossed the Soane into the Beajolais region and a longish hill climb to our village of Blase. What a wonderful journey it was too, Rod was excited to see so many cows!!! As for me I was just happy not to be on the busy stressful highways with all the idiots testing your nerves. ...

... the centuries. I took some closer pictures of some of them when they were taking them down, especially the one of St Genevieve, who is the patron saint of Paris. Afterwards, we went for a final walk through the town to return the crutches and buy Celine some sunglasses. She has broken a pair and lost a pair and I've lost two pairs, but fortunately, the pair I lost at the retreat turned up in lost property. We also ...
