... long legged, so different from the South Down sheep we are used to seeing. And the lamb sitting with its mother was so cute. Finally, we visited a cheese farm. The goats were all beautifully white and some were friendly. The usual collection of young goats and two fabulous billy goats. One had the most marvellous set of horns. ... this is their 15 Anniversary they had paintings and drawings of other artists in the first room.

    Some interesting things:

The baguette was first made during the Napoleon Campaign. Bread had always been made in round loaves. The soldiers needed to carry the bread in their pockets.

The towns have a beautification rating system Vive Fleure. . If the town is clean and has beauty flowers it can get a five flower ...

... the barrier, where I waited with my camera poised to capture Paul on his way down with a big grin on his face…..except he didn’t arrive……after 15 minutes I made the decision to duck under the barrier myself and carry on a bit further to meet him.  I passed the 4km to the top sign and began to get worried that he was taking so long….maybe I missed him at the cafe….maybe he’d had an accident….the sky ...
