    ... She never even opened my passport!! Feeling relieved, I moved on to passport control. They did open the passport...but ultimately, they put the visa stamp on a page that was already crowded with other stamps. They never even looked for a blank page!

    So...that was rather anticlimactic.

    ... directions, we got lost. Once inside the "hypermarket" it took us 1 hour to find the checkout line which happened to be upstairs and beyond the electronics and clothing sections to what we thought was a food only store. However, the silver lining was that we were able to locate our first Bintang beer. It's their local domestic beer and its essentially Heineken so it's pretty tasty as well.
